The path you pick looks promising and safe. It is wider and more open than any other path besides the stone walkway you first encountered. And like the walkway, the sun shines down and fights off the darkness that threatens to creep in from the trees to each side…
Eventually, the path opens up into a large clearing. At first you rush forward, thinking you’ve found your way out, but you soon realize that the clearing is fenced in on all sides by the dark trees. This is just another dead end.
You turn back, hopeful that with cautious thinking you will find your way out.
That is, until you walk right into an invisible force field that bars your way back. It surrounds the whole area.
