CONTINUING THE CONVERSATION WITH A YOUNG AUDIENCE

Children should never be left out of the conversation as they are not only the future but important members of the current community

Fiction

Fiction written for a young audience by adults and young writers with a guardian’s permission can explore the Epistemic Lit themes as these topics relate to today’s children. Fictional storytelling as an artform allows us to relate to characters that may not share our same experiences and in doing so, start conversations and build our knowledge.

Poetry

Contemporary Poetry is a powerful vehicle for discussing social issues. Epistemic Lit invites poets of all ages to bring children into the conversation, and cultivate an appreciation of poetry by kids, through exploring our themes in poems written for a young audience.
