IF I DIE FROM THIS

Written by Kristin Houlihan
bury me in a T-shirt that says
Fuck Long Covid.
Emblazon it on my coffin,
let all who love me
have a turn with the blowtorch.
Disfigure the shiny wood
with flame and bury me with the ashes
so my un resting place
resembles the hellscape
the virus has made of my insides.

Don’t worry, I probably won’t die—
I’ll suffer forever instead.
