I got an A+ in sleeping and
woke up ready to climb a mountain and kill god.
Truth, Freedom, and Justice
all take a knee
and life goes on. They take
our neighbors and coworkers
and life goes on. They’re taking
children off the street, putting them away
and life goes on.
But who could live that way?
So, I’m ready to fight the creator,
the head creep who watches
and does nothing, ready to climb
up a beanstalk, sawed-off shotgun
strapped to my back.
