Anna Wiksten was born in mainland Finland and grew up in the Åland Islands, where she still lives. She is a self-taught multidisciplinary artist exploring questions of belonging, memory and the nature of being through various forms of art. Once a columnist and editor for local newspapers and magazines, she now focuses on visual expression. When not creating art, she enjoys the outdoors, reading, and a slow, intentional pace of life.
